Your responsibilities

  • Lead the team (currently one IT Analyst) that provides IT Operation for the EU (excluding the sites in Berlin and Leuna) and any other European Regions that Aurora grows into (e.g. the UK)
  • Support the deployment of the IT Operations Global Support (“Follow the Sun”) Model by working with North America to provide Non-Core Hours support for North America, Australia and other regions as required
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team that analyzes and resolves a wide variety of technical issues from desktops, infrastructure, to large business systems
  • Manage the EU IT Budget including developing, managing, and controlling team expenditures against the operating and capital budgets
  • Own and manage the execution of all SOX controls for EU
  • Participate in regular audit processes to meet compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Lead IT Operations Projects across all EU locations
  • Support Business Projects across all EU and Global locations
  • Manage data center operations, server, storage, and network infrastructure for the EU
  • Manage EU cloud (AWS / Azure) solutions
  • Manage EU phone systems
  • Manage and maintain the EU backup and replication solution operations
  • Optimize IT infrastructure and coordinate with the PMO to plan and deliver IT Optimization projects
  • Lead refresh and upgrade work requests for IT infrastructure and end-user equipment
  • Drive continuous improvement/process automation to improve resolution of requests and incidents
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, networks, procedures, policies, and standards
  • Monitor and report on network and system performance, bandwidth requirements, and provide proactive solutions for improvements and problems
  • Manage, coordinate, and communicate status for incidents and problems from inception to resolution, including root cause analysis
  • Measure IT performance through KPI reporting, customer satisfaction surveys and report to IT senior management
  • Support the development and maintenance of service desk processes using the ITIL framework
  • Act as a senior technical resource and escalation point for front-line IT support resources

Our requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field such as a Degree in Computer Science
  • 10 years of experience in the IT industry with large enterprise experience
  • 5 years of experience supporting and managing enterprise diverse IT operational
  • Fluency in English and Polish is required; knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Advance leadership experience supporting, coaching, and leading global teams
  • Experience managing IT Operations and Projects using remote teams in fast-paced environments
  • Experience managing IT budget cycles and managing to that budget
  • Experience establishing and managing controls based on regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR, SOX, and PCI-DSS) proactively as well as through Audit cycles
  • Experience/Technical understanding in various technical streams including: ITIL, AI (e.g. NIST), Cloud Infrastructure, and INFOSEC/Cyber Security/Controls
  • Experience in managing IT environments with a wide array of IT infrastructure elements including: VOIP phone (including call center technology), SD-WAN technologies, hyperconverged infrastructure/server administration, hybrid environments (On Prem and Cloud), Microsoft AWS and Azure, network administration, Mobile Device Management, enterprise ticketing systems (ServiceNow), and user/security group administration
  • Experience managing an environment with partner integrations using Fileshares, EDI, etc.
  • Experience managing an end user computing environment based on Microsoft products and tools
  • Experience managing an end user computing environment with scan guns and bar code printers
  • Experience managing IT Operations based on ITIL processes
  • Experience establishing, managing, owning and reporting on IT Operational SLAs/SLCs and KPIs
  • Experience working in an environment with Building Management and Building Security systems would be beneficial
  • Experience working in a ServiceNow environment would be beneficial
  • Experience working in a Sage X3 environment would be beneficial
  • ITIL V4 Certification would be beneficial
  • Microsoft Certifications such as AZ-900 or AZ-104 would be beneficial
  • Cyber-Security Certifications such as CISSP would be beneficial
  • Experience in Warehousing and/or Distribution and/or 3PL companies would be beneficial
