Your responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the local BSS team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, accountability, and growth.
  • Apply proven methods and structured thinking to streamline operations, solve problems within governance frameworks, and implement efficient, compliant solutions.
  • Operate autonomously, maintaining full ownership of performance, service quality, and internal customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily office operations including lease and utility management, facility maintenance, car fleet and pool car coordination, and reception services.
  • Coordinate employee travel and event logistics, support the SPOT Awards program, and enhance internal engagement initiatives.
  • Drive and support office fit-out and relocation projects, with special attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and Maersk’s HSSE standards.
  • Supervise professional staff, support career development, and maintain a low attrition rate through meaningful leadership and mentorship.
  • Manage vendor performance across essential services (e.g., cleaning, security, procurement), ensuring cost leadership and alignment with Maersk standards.
  • Ensure data accuracy and develop clear dashboards and reports to track operational KPIs, capacity insights, and compliance metrics.
  • Lead the evaluation and optimization of Maersk’s office footprint across Poland, aligning space usage with strategic business needs.
  • Collaborate with legal, HSSE, QES, and corporate stakeholders to uphold governance, safety, and integrity in all support operations.

Our requirements

  • • Education:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field with strong focus on process optimization, automation, and performance reporting is required.
  • A Master’s degree or MBA is considered a strong advantage, particularly with a focus on operational excellence, leadership, or digital transformation.
  • • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar operations or business support leadership role, ideally within an international or matrixed organization.
  • A proven track record in leading teams, developing talent, and driving performance is essential.
  • • Skills & Capabilities:
  • o Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, challenge, and support team members.
  • o Demonstrated success in managing vendors, leading projects, and balancing strategic and operational tasks.
  • o Solid understanding of office/facility operations, administration workflows, travel management, and fleet coordination.
  • o Experience in analyzing data and building dashboards to support decision-making and monitor key performance indicators.
  • o Structured and pragmatic problem-solver with the ability to manage complexity independently.
  • o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Bi); experience with SAP, Concur, or SharePoint is a plus.
  • o Fluent in Polish, and proficient in English (spoken and written).
  • o Valid driver’s license and availability to travel between office sites in Poland.
