The HR-Training and Organization Development Team grows the TPWD leaders from an ever-expanding catalogue of topics (i.e., leadership, customer service, conflict management, feedback and coaching, communication, listening, etc.). Some of our classes are presented virtually; many are presented in person, at one of our 199 locations across the state or at a retreat center. Some classes last one hour, some last one week, others are 8 month-long programs. We travel ~45% of the time across our beautiful state to some of the most amazing locations!Under the direction and supervision of the Training and Organizational Development (TOD) Manager, this position serves as a Human Resources Trainer and performs highly complex (senior-level) training and development work for a wide spectrum of employees serving in law enforcement, natural resources, conservation, wildlife, and various support functions. Work involves researching, planning, designing, conducting, and evaluating workforce training and educational programs. Coordinates and conducts training on a variety of job competency areas. Develops curriculum and/or tailors training packages to meet agency or customer needs for in-person training and/or for virtual training or e-learning.
