A highly experienced SAP Solution Architect is needed to lead the analysis, design, and optimization of our SAP ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

• Assessment & Documentation.

  • Reverse-engineer and analyze existing SAP implementations to document business capabilities, functional value streams, and processes, particularly within Accounting and Finance functions.
  • Translate complex business ecosystems into clear architectural documentation for both business and technical stakeholders.

• Solution Design & Optimization.

  • Leverage a comprehensive understanding of SAP functional features, ecosystem tools, partner systems, and integrations to inform decisions on current use cases and potential expansion.
  • Architect solutions that optimize SAP’s value to the business and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.

• Strategic & Technical Leadership.

  • Provide both strategic and tactical leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risks/issues from technical and functional perspectives.
  • Lead technical discussions around Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), technology tradeoffs, and architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment.

  • Collaborate across teams with varying levels of SAP expertise, synthesizing complex information and guiding stakeholders to alignment.
  • Build consensus in challenging situations where multiple stakeholders may have conflicting priorities or goals.

• Architecture Development & Presentation.

  • Develop, present, and defend architecture designs across all layers—application, data, security, and infrastructure.
  • Clearly explain and justify architectural decisions to business leaders and peer architects in domains such as Security, Data, and Infrastructure.

• Integration & Multi-Style Architecture.

  • Design and implement solutions that utilize diverse architectural patterns (e.g., 3-tier, event-driven, message-driven) and various authentication/authorization and integration protocols.
  • Oversee integrations across SAP-hosted, client-hosted, and non-SAP platforms, using SAP-native and external integration methods.

• Technology Evaluation & Ecosystem Expansion.

  • Drive technical conversations on system performance, hosting strategies (cloud/on-premises), security protocols, and integration strategies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and SAP ecosystem tools to recommend platform enhancements and expansion into additional business functions.

• Implementation & Delivery Support.

  • Actively support SDLC activities, including design reviews, code reviews, defining testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and end-to-end monitoring frameworks.
  • Ensure delivery quality, scalability, and maintainability across SAP initiatives.

• Multi-Stack & Cloud Integration.

  • Collaborate across multiple technology stacks, including cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure), AI/ML, Big Data platforms, and third-party solutions.
  • Guide architecture decisions that balance SAP and non-SAP technologies in hybrid enterprise landscapes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SAP solution architecture, development, and enterprise-scale delivery.
• Proven expertise in reverse engineering SAP implementations, with a strong focus on Accounting and Finance functions.
• Deep knowledge of the SAP platform, including functional features, ecosystem tools, partner systems, and integration patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and tactical leadership, proactively identifying and resolving risks/issues.
• Strong experience in designing and defending multi-layered architecture solutions across application, data, security, and infrastructure layers.
• Expertise in multiple architectural styles (3-tier, event-driven, message-driven) and diverse authentication, authorization, and integration protocols.
• Hands-on experience with both client-hosted and SAP-hosted solutions, including integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Proven ability to build consensus in multi-stakeholder environments, including situations with competing priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and functional topics to both technical and business audiences.
• Strong experience collaborating across technology stacks (e.g., AWS, Azure, AI/ML, Big Data).
• Active/current SAP certifications (technical and/or functional) with recent hands-on involvement in SDLC activities (design/code reviews, non-functional testing strategies, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
• Familiarity with modern cloud and hybrid architectures.
• Exposure to industries such as automotive, manufacturing, or finance.
• Experience applying DevOps practices within SAP solution delivery.
