Required Qualifications

•          Strong software engineering experience with a full-stack/backend emphasis.

•          Strong production Java experience and Spring Boot (or Spring Framework) for building production RESTful APIs and microservices.

•          Deep SQL proficiency and experience designing relational schemas (Oracle and PostgreSQL).

•          Hands-on AI/ML experience: computer vision (YOLO, Ultralytics, OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and LLMs (fine-tuning, prompting, RAG, LangChain/Hugging Face).

•          Strong Python skills for ML prototyping, scripting, and tooling.

•          Experience with DevOps and infrastructure for AI/ML systems (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, CI/CD).

•          Proven ability to lead technical design and collaborate effectively across teams.

•          Excellent communication skills and comfort owning projects end-to-end.

Preferred Qualifications

•          Experience in fleet telematics, video safety, IoT, or automotive domains.

•          Familiarity with enterprise Java environments, large-scale Oracle deployments, and embedded/edge AI.

We're rapidly expanding our AI capabilities and need a versatile engineer to drive our AI initiatives while owning key integration and infrastructure pieces.

The Role

We're looking for an AI Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to lead the development and deployment of next-generation AI features across our platform. You'll focus primarily on AI while taking ownership of API design, database architecture for AI workloads, DevOps/infrastructure for model deployment, and embedded/edge considerations.

You'll work closely with our dedicated DB team, API team, frontend team, mobile team, and QA team, receiving guidance from management on product ideas and roadmap priorities. This role will take the lead on AI-related APIs and collaborate especially tightly with the DB and API teams to ensure seamless integration.

Your responsibilities

1. Shape and execute the AI roadmap, including computer vision and generative AI/LLMs (e.g., automated incident summaries, natural-language fleet queries, RAG pipelines).
2.          Take ownership of AI-focused APIs: design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
3.          Own AI data architecture and pipelines using Oracle and PostgreSQL (including vector extensions such as pgvector for embeddings and semantic search).
4.          Fine-tune, optimize, and deploy models (YOLO variants, open-source LLMs such as Llama/Mistral, or API-based solutions) for cloud and edge/embedded inference.
5.          Drive DevOps and infrastructure for AI systems (MLOps pipelines, monitoring, A/B testing, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms).
6.          Collaborate on embedded/edge AI requirements and proof-of-concepts for in-vehicle processing.
