Your Key Responsibilities Being a primary point of contact for data and system access discussions with high-level stakeholders (e.g., department heads, system owners, security teams) Identifying, addressing, and eliminating roadblocks that may impede data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals Guiding, mentoring and supporting other data engineers, establishing best practices and ensuring effective teamwork Overseeing data quality, integrity, and security throughout all stages of the data lifecycle Collaborating between engineering teams and business units, translating business needs into technical solutions Building and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure Ensuring operable and secure cloud-based solution architecture for custom-developed, open-source, and off-the-shelf applications Establishing and maintaining of monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues Taking on the technical responsibility of applications throughout the life cycle as part of a DevOps team Collaborating on improving the automation level of our operations towards self-service Building and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans for mission-critical applications and infrastructure Ensuring compliance with security policies and standards, working with security and compliance teams as necessary Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements, advising the Admin AI Factory on strategic data initiatives Your Qualifications Completed studies in one of the following fields: Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or comparable qualifications with corresponding practical experience Minimum 8 years of experience in Software Engineering, including at least 5 years focused on backend development with Python in production environments Fluency in both English and Polish, with a minimum of B2 level proficiency Knowledge of German is a plus  Proven track record in architecting, scaling, and maintaining complex data systems and pipelines Experience in leading data engineering projects and mentoring teams Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL or Java Hands-on experience with AI technology, e. g. AI Agents, RAG, MCP, with quality assurance of AI systems Proven experience working with managed cloud services (AWS or Azure), including AI services, storage and databases Knowledge of data integration, APIs, and workflow automation tools Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and best practices in data security In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and security best practices Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management skills Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership Problem-solving mindset with the ability to remove roadblocks and drive project progress Our Offer Be a part of a global company & international team with a diverse variety of backgrounds, skills and views.   As part of our IT team, you will actively shape the technology and solutions used by Schaeffler.
