In this role, you will design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring code quality, comprehensive testing, and compliance with industry best practices.Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Kotlin and Quarkus. Lead OpenAPI-first design, maintaining accurate API specifications and documentation. Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability. Implement robust end-to-end integration testing strategies. Ensure application security (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT) and adherence to industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, data modeling, and system integration. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering excellence. Required Skills and Experience: Strong proficiency in Kotlin and JVM-based backend development. Hands-on experience with Quarkus and OpenAPI specification design. Solid understanding of REST principles, database design (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and ORM (Hibernate/Panache). Expertise in containerization (Docker) and deployment on Kubernetes. Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana). Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and secure coding practices.
