These teams will be shaping the future of retail by building and evolving Castorama’s mobile app, e-commerce platform, and the back-office systems that power store operations across Poland. In this role, you will be responsible for both developing and maintaining robust automated test suites as well as carrying out thorough manual testing across our web applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams in a fast-paced Agile environment to ensure the highest levels of software quality. If you're looking for an exciting opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and make a real impact building better software, this is the job for you!    Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize automation test scripts, ensuring adherence to best practices and seamless integration into the CI/CD pipeline. Facilitate skill development in automation where necessary.  Design and execute manual test cases for scenarios not covered by automation.  Ability to conduct front-end, back-end, API, integration, and regression tests to validate system functionality, performance, and stability.  Log, track, and prioritize defects, ensuring timely fixes and accurate documentation.  Provide input on testing scope, complexity, and effort during estimation and planning sessions.  Manage the entire testing lifecycle, ensuring full coverage and maintaining quality standards within the Engineering Squad.  Present test results and insights to stakeholders in 'Show & Tell' sessions, highlighting product readiness and quality.  Resolve testing challenges efficiently, continuously improving processes.  Skills and experience  Extensive experience with Java for test automation  Expert in designing and implementing automated tests using Selenium and Cucumber, nice to have experience with Selenide  Strong background in manual testing, including regression, smoke, and exploratory testing  Proven track record of working in CI/CD environments (e.g. GitLab pipelines, Docker, Jenkins)  Deep understanding of test automation strategies and best practices for web applications  Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as Gatling and Lighthouse  Skilled in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and robust test frameworks  Strong knowledge of software quality principles, Agile methodologies, and continuous testing practices  Significant experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers  Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills  Excellent command of English (written and spoken)  Nice to have Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact  Familiarity with Allure Report for advanced test result visualisation  Exposure to performance monitoring and observability tools  Experience with mocking and service virtualisation tools  Knowledge of test case management systems and test reporting/metrics tracking  Understanding of accessibility testing tools and techniques  Previous experience in retail or e-commerce environments  To get to know us better visit: LinkedIn Kingfisher plc
