We are looking for a Java Developer with front-end experience to join the Sopra Steria team for a client in the aerospace sector. You will work in a stable, industrial environment within a multinational team (France, Poland, India) supporting a major aeronautical manufacturer. The program includes a wide portfolio of applications developed by multiple teams. Our scope is to build solutions that support pilots, crew, airlines, and airport operations using modern technologies.Applications are developed mainly in two streams: frontend (JavaScript frameworks like Vaadin, Forms, Joget) and backend (Java/.NET) and deployed to AWS Cloud.Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship (located in Gdańsk or Silesia).Mission/tasks: Develop and maintain Java-based applications with frontend components Collaborate with distributed teams to define requirements and implement software designs Deliver high-quality, clean code aligned with performance and security standards Participate in testing, debugging, and optimization of modules and services Contribute to Agile ceremonies and team collaboration Must-have requirements: Experience in Java development Good understanding of software engineering principles Willingness to visit our office in Gdańsk and participate in occasional business trips Strong communication skills and proactive attitude Experience with Agile/Scrum and tools like JIRA Fluent English: C1/C2 Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits to our office in Katowice Nice to have requirements: Experience with Joget low-code platform Frontend experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vaadin, Forms, Swing, Joget) Background in distributed, international teams Working hours: business hoursWhat we offer:BENEFITS: Luxmed, Medicover sport card, Worksmile, educational platforms, language courses, referral bonus, copyrights, life insuranceDEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES: certifications (paid by the company) plus bonus for successful passing, conferences, Tech LunchesThe recruitment process in our company consists of 3 stages: a short phone call with a recruiter (30 min max) one-hour long interview on Teams (with both general and technical questions) additional meeting with the client Regardless of the feedback we come back to our candidates.
