Position: Senior Security Developer – Focus on Cyber DefenseStart Date: 01.01.2026Contract: Initial 1-year contract with possibility of extension for long-term collaborationWork Mode: 100% remote Rate: 160–180 PLN/h NET + VAT (B2B)Project DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Security Developer with a strong focus on cyber defense to join a dynamic IT security team. The role involves developing, maintaining, and improving security automation tools and processes to enhance incident response capabilities. This is a long-term, strategic project aimed at strengthening global cybersecurity operations, with opportunities to mentor junior developers and influence security engineering practices.Responsibilities Develop and maintain Python-based software for security automation and incident response. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes to ensure efficient development workflows. Mentor junior developers, deliver technical training, and contribute to the team’s knowledge base and best practices. Ensure timely delivery of development tasks while maintaining functional and quality standards. Apply software engineering best practices, design patterns, and development methodologies across the team. Lead the design, development, and implementation of global security tools, processes, and functionalities. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, preferably with a specialization in cybersecurity. Proven experience in software development: proficiency in writing clean and efficient Python code according to industry best practices. Strong software design and architecture skills: ability to design and maintain scalable systems in a team environment. Experience with version control and branching strategies (GitFlow/GitHub Flow), CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and unit testing. Quality assurance and testing: implementing automated tests and QA processes, ensuring code quality, performance, and long-term maintainability. Advanced problem-solving and debugging skills, with experience optimizing complex systems and resolving performance issues. Deep knowledge of IT security (SIEM, firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, endpoint/network forensic analysis, Threat Hunting). Experience with SOAR tools for security incident automation, including developing use cases/playbooks for automated SOC operations or vulnerability analysis. Broad understanding of modern IT infrastructure, including AI/ML and big data analytics. Knowledge of security frameworks such as MITRE or the Kill Chain model, including tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Structured, service-oriented approach with high self-motivation and excellent personal organization. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity software development.
