We are looking for an engaged IT student to support our IT Security team in Poznań in protecting the company’s systems, data and users. You will work closely with experienced security specialists and gain hands-on experience with tools, processes and technologies used in a modern cybersecurity function.
The role is ideal for a student who wants practical experience within IT security alongside their studies.

You will join our global IT organization ROCKWOOL Digital. We are on a massive transformation journey to leverage digitalization opportunities to support the overall strategic objectives for the ROCKWOOL Group – a journey with close sponsorship by the ROCKWOOL senior executive team. You will be part of our digital Cybersecurity team which currently consist of 1 CISO and 6 security consultant, located mainly in Poznan, but also in Belgium and Malaysia.
Stepping into this position, you can look forward to getting involved in tasks within a broad area of responsibility within IT security. Depending on your skills and interests, your tasks may include:
Security Monitoring & Incident Support
Assist in monitoring security alerts and logs in our current IT security tools such as SIEM, EDR, PAM, email security solutions etc.
Help with initial analysis and documentation of security incidents.
Escalate potential threats to senior security staff.
Vulnerability Management
Help triage and document identified vulnerabilities.
Follow up with system owners on remediation status.
Security Awareness & Training
Contribute to security awareness campaigns (phishing simulations, intranet posts, training materials).
Help prepare presentations and guides for end users.
Documentation & Process Improvement
Maintain and update security documentation, runbooks, and procedures.
Assist in mapping and improving security policies, processes and workflows.
Ad-hoc Tasks
Support audits and compliance activities (e.g. General IT Controls audit, NIS2, GDPR documentation).
Help with small internal projects and proof-of-concepts within the security area.
Your stakeholder interface will be broad as you will interact with our ROCKWOOL Digital customers – our colleagues in the ROCKWOOL business units - as well as the ROCKWOOL Digital employees.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following professional skills:
Education
Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s program, e.g. Computer Science, Information Security, Software Engineering, Data/IT, or similar.
Technical Skills (nice-to-have, not all required)
Basic understanding of:
Networks (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, DNS).
Operating systems (Windows, Linux) and standard IT infrastructure.
Fundamental cybersecurity concepts (malware, phishing, authentication, encryption, least privilege).
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python or similar) is an advantage.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, or similar platforms is a plus.
Personal Competencies
Structured and detail-oriented with a responsible work style.
Curious and eager to learn new technologies and security concepts.
Able to work independently on assigned tasks and ask for help when needed.
Good communication skills written and spoken in English.
Team player with a proactive and service-minded attitude.
