About the project

We’re building and evolving an internal Platform Lookup Service - a tool that helps different engineering and control teams quickly identify what platforms and tenants exist across the organization, and what controls apply to them. The service connects with multiple systems to automate control processes, reduce manual overhead, and keep the platform data consistent and accessible. Originally developed as a side project, it’s now ready for a dedicated engineer who can take ownership, improve it, and drive it forward. The role combines hands-on engineering with a touch of business and control analysis - perfect for someone who likes understanding how things work end-to-end.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain the Platform Lookup Service, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Work on both backend (Java) and frontend (ReactJS) components.
• Collaborate with platform and control teams to understand requirements and turn them into technical solutions.
• Perform light business/control analysis to understand how current processes and controls operate.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with other engineers on continuous improvements.
• Help define the evolution of the service – new features, integrations, and optimizations.

What we’re looking for

Technical skills

• Strong programming skills in Java (8 or higher, ideally Java 21)
• Experience with SQL and relational databases ( PostgreSQL preferred)
• ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend development
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices
• Basic Linux knowledge (nice to have, not mandatory)

Other skills

• Good understanding of internal developer platforms and hosting/cloud platforms
• Ability to perform business/control analysis – understanding existing processes and translating them into technical requirements
• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of a product
• Experience working in large-scale, enterprise environments (nice to have)
