Project overview

This project focuses on developing an exceptional suite of solutions for operating online grocery businesses. The entire system is built on cloud technologies, with all infrastructure hosted on AWS.

Position overview

As an Android Developer you will participate in the development of our customer-facing, native Android Shopping app, to be used by millions of people all over the world. Each team is cross-functional; comprising Android, iOS and backend-focused engineers, working together to deliver features to a high standard.

You will work with specialists who understand their specific place, value, task, and individual performance, but see the "horizon" of the task as well. Mobile teams work closely with Web teams, Product Managers and UX to ensure feature parity and a consistently high-quality experience across all platforms.

Teams leverage industry best-practices like continuous delivery and extensive automated testing, and are given the autonomy to try out new technologies and techniques that support our business and long-term goals.

• Development of the Mobile application
• Writing and maintaining automation test suites
• Work collaboratively inside and outside the team to achieve business objectives

Requirements

• Strong programming skills with object-oriented design expertise
• Deep knowledge of the Android SDK and modern development tools like Android Studio
• Experience working on published apps in the Google Play Store
• Passionate about automated testing with hands-on experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin programming language
• Familiarity with Hilt for dependency injection, MVVM architecture, and strong understanding of Clean Architecture principles
• Skilled in Espresso UI testing, unit tests, and GitLab CI integration
• Experienced with Retrofit networking library
• Knowledge of Jetpack Compose for modern UI development
• Proven experience working within Agile teams
• Comfortable in dynamic continuous delivery environments
• Mastery of Git version control
• Understanding of iOS and/or Java development is a plus
• Exposure to reactive programming paradigms (e.g., RxJava, Flow)
