The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing the DWP Data Platform, which will serve as a centralized repository for data generated by DWP services. This platform will facilitate cross-service data sharing and will be instrumental in enabling AI and analytics functionalities across all Digital Workplace services.Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design: Create a robust data architecture that meets the scalability, security, and performance requirements of the DWP Data Platform. Data Management: Design data models and data flows to effectively store and process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Technology Implementation: Utilize Azure technologies to develop and implement the DWP Data Platform, ensuring adherence to best practices in data design. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure that the platform supports all DWP services effectively. Leadership: Lead the development team in implementing the data architecture, providing guidance on data design principles and practices. Analytics Enablement: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support the integration of AI and analytics capabilities into the DWP services. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, data models, and design decisions to ensure clarity and alignment across teams. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, preferably in a large-scale data environment. Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance principles. Experience with Azure cloud services and technologies (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics). Familiarity with data processing frameworks and tools for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
