About the Role

The BI & Reporting Analyst will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and reporting solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights for global energy clients. This role requires strong technical expertise in SQL, PowerBI, and Oracle-based systems. Reporting to the R&D Director and will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand reporting needs, optimize database performance, and deliver high-quality analytics solutions that support TrackerCheck and related enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
• Develop advanced SQL queries and optimize performance in MySQL and Oracle databases
• Design and implement data models and database schemas following best practices (3NF)
• Create reports using Telerik Reporting or similar tools
• Administer PowerBI workspaces, datasets, and gateways
• Translate business needs into technical BI solutions and visualizations
• Document data models, BI assets, and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field

Required Skills

• 8+ years in BI, reporting, or data analytics
• Advanced SQL (window and analytical functions, query optimization)
• Proficiency with PowerBI (DAX, data modeling, administration)
• Strong experience with MySQL and Oracle Database / PL-SQL
• Understanding of data modeling and database performance tuning
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
• Familiarity with Telerik Reporting, SSRS, or Crystal Reports
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and cloud data warehouses (Azure, AWS, OCI)
• Experience with Python or R for analytics
• Industry experience in energy or construction
