About the project

• We are looking for a development partner to implement two software agents for secure and efficient data collection:
• Agent A – Windows (Powershell Script):
• Runs on Windows.
• Executes an embedded Powershell 5.1 script to collect data.
• Output in structured JSON format.
• Triggered via Windows Task Scheduler.
• Agent B – Cross-Platform (Windows and Linux, REST API):
• Runs on Windows and Linux.
• Collects data via REST API requests.
• Requires secure, encrypted username/password configuration.
• Data collection logic embedded at build time.
• Executed externally (e.g., Task Scheduler, cron, systemd timer).

Your responsibilities

• Develop secure data collection agents (Windows and Cross-platform).
• Implement Powershell and REST API-based data collection logic.
• Ensure secure storage of credentials (encrypted configuration).
• Integrate agents with external scheduling tools (Task Scheduler, cron).
• Maintain configuration persistence across updates.
• Implement logging and error handling.
• Collaborate with the team for successful project delivery.

Our requirements

• Minimum 5 years in software development with compiled languages (Go, C, or similar).
• REST API integration and data collection.
• Secure handling and storage of credentials (encrypted).
• API key authentication.
• Experience with external scheduling tools (Windows Task Scheduler, cron, systemd timers).
• Secure embedding of data collection logic.
• Cross-platform development (Windows and Linux).
• Implementing logging and error handling.
