Your responsibilities

• We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Lab Engineer to join our dynamic R&D and Test Lab team in Tczew. In this role, you will play a key part in testing and validating innovative copper and fiber-based cable infrastructure components, while working closely with product development teams on the evaluation of new designs.
• While testing will remain the core responsibility, this position also offers a broader scope in research and development. Depending on your background and progress, you will have the opportunity to support small-scale mechanical design and prototyping tasks, making this a great opportunity for someone eager to grow and expand their skills in a technical product development environment.
• You will also take ownership of maintaining and supervising the test lab’s daily operations, managing equipment, processes, and documentation in line with quality standards.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical tests on prototypes and analyze results
• Operate advanced lab equipment (e.g., optical dimensioning systems, VNAs)
• Collaborate with R&D teams to validate new designs
• Maintain test documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Supervise lab operations, including equipment calibration and inventory
• Support product certification processes (e.g., UL, CE, ETL)
• Coordinate with external labs and assist in rapid prototyping for innovation

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., electrotechnics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics)
• Proven experience in a test lab or similar testing environment. Promising graduates with relevant education will also be considere
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical testing
• Basic understanding of measurement principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawing
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
• Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Optional

• Experience with advanced lab equipment (e.g., VNAs, optical measurement systems)
• Familiarity with the cable infrastructure or electronics industry
• Understanding of 5S principles and maintaining an organized lab environment
• Exposure to international certification standards (e.g., UL, CE, ETL)
• Knowledge of cabling standards such as TIA or ISO
