Your responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the CFO and IDH management on finance department setup.
• Make decisive timelines for implementing changes within the accounting department.
• Oversee the financial accounting for a group of legal entities in various countries (AR,AP, GL).
• Work with local and foreign accounting offices.
• Handle full tax and statutory reporting (VAT, CIT, withholding tax, GUS, NBP reporting).
• Manage accounting policy, chart of accounts, and tax procedures at both local and
• Group levels as needed.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, analyses, and reports, including Group-level financial statement consolidation.
• Lead statutory audits and tax controls at both local and Group levels as needed.
• Provide accurate financial information and data for reporting, forecasting, and controlling purposes.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
• Continuously improve and streamline accounting and tax processes.
• Participate in other accounting-related projects and initiatives.
• Manage the accounting team.
• Assume responsibility for internal financial accounting when transitioned from external accounting offices.

Our requirements

• Proficiency in Polish at C1 level.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting department, with at least 2 years in a Chief Accountant role (experience in the marketing/advertising industry is a plus).
• Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations (including Withholding Tax) and international accounting standards.
• Strong management and organizational skills in building and controlling external accounting offices.
• Good knowledge of accounting consolidation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in English at C1 level.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly in MS Excel.
• Proactive approach, accuracy, strong organizational skills, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, efficiency, and innovation.

Optional

• Experience with multinational companies and accountancy regulations.
• Experience in the brokerage and trading.
• ACCA or other financial/accounting certifications.
