About the role:

We are looking for a Big Data (Scala/Spark) Developer to help build a new customer account reporting engine. You’ll work in an international Agile team using modern technologies both on-premises and in the cloud.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performing global reporting solutions

• Work with dozens of data formats and integration points

• Build Spark-based applications in Scala

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Analysts, and Developers

• Participate in Agile development processes

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience with functional programming in Scala

• Experience building Spark applications in Scala

• Familiarity with Hadoop technologies: Hive, Oozie, Kafka

• Experience with D ock er and Kubernetes

• Good communication skills and team collaboration

• Proficiency in English (B2+)

Nice to have:

• Experience in data engineering and building ETL/ELT pipelines

• Experience with performance tuning of Hadoop/Spark solutions

• Experience with container-based technologies: D ock er, Kubernetes

• Experience in developing RESTful services
