Summary:

The Senior Solution Architect plays a critical role in designing and maintaining architectures, solutions, and data models that align with customer needs and support the agile development lifecycle, ensuring both cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities: This role encompasses the management of architecture and solutions to align with customer needs and business goals.

• Accountable for ensuring the products & services are underpinned by the right architectures, solutions, and data models that meet customer needs.

• Accountable for managing the design of product solutions ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the agile development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to resolve operational issues in a timely manner.

• Convert requirements into actionable product/service requirements that shape Technology solutions and data modeling development.

• Ensure alignment of solutions with platform data and overall enterprise architecture.

• Secure approvals from design authorities on solution and data designs.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and manage best practices for data and solution architecture.

• Participate in governance activities to review solutions and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Define and communicate commercially aware architecture designs for data solutions.

• Engage closely with engineering teams to meet project requirements aligned with Group standards.

• Create clear architecture solution choices and analyze benefits/challenges.

• Identify operational and delivery risks.

• Provide governance on architecture, establishing standards for IT activities.

• Support the development of integration standards, strategies, and architectures.

• Ensure architecture compliance with requirements and best practices.

Key Requirements:

• University graduate in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years in data engineering / architecture; 5 years in data modeling.

• Strong banking industry experience.

• Expertise in data architecture and modeling (conceptual/logical/physical).

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts.

• Strong analytical abilities to assess designs and inform decisions.

• Self-motivated with a desire for continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

• Experience in data warehousing methodologies (Kimball, Inmon).

• Technical knowledge of Big Data technologies and stack.

• Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Understanding of AI/ML practices and technologies.

• Exposure to microservices design and related technologies.

• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, QlikView).

• Knowledge of SDLC/Agile methodologies.

• Proactive work attitude.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in banking operations.

• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (Erwin, IDA).

• Project-based experience.

• Fluent in Mandarin preferred.

• Familiarity with architecture governance frameworks (TOGAF).

• Experience with unstructured data solutions.
