Cloud Engineer (SRE)

B2B | Kraków / Remote (6-8 times per month)

For our Client – a global technology organization focused on delivering scalable and reusable cloud platform solutions – we are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer (SRE) to join their expanding engineering team in Poland.

This role is part of the Services Platform Centre of Excellence (SPCoE), which supports the development of shared infrastructure and cloud services across Wholesale IT. The team’s mission is to reduce duplicated efforts, increase efficiency, and provide secure, reliable platforms to a global user base. You’ll collaborate with professionals in Poland, Hong Kong, and China – and work on a platform that is used globally by numerous service lines.

What will you be responsible for?

• Developing and deploying scalable, highly available applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Creating reusable cloud-native patterns such as Cloud Functions or Secret Management for internal teams
• Supporting the migration of APIs from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud
• Automating operational tasks through CI/CD pipelines and scripting
• Maintaining and supporting the Cloud API Platform: monitoring, incident management, capacity planning
• Performing root cause analysis and problem resolution for production issues
• Participating in the SRE on-call rotation (every ~2 months, shared with a global team)
• Ensuring compliance with internal governance, security and audit policies

What do we expect?

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure/system support, operations, or cloud engineering
• Strong command of Linux OS, with scripting experience in shell or Python
• Solid understanding of networking and firewall configurations
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
• Readiness to work in a globally distributed team and embrace cultural diversity
• English at a fluent level (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Cloud certifications (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with API platforms and microservice architecture
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and automated pipeline design
• Experience working in containerized environments (e.g. GKE)
