WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?

The ideal candidates will ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance messaging services that enable seamless communication between enterprise systems, applications, and environments.

What you'll do:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM MQ on distributed platforms (mainly Linux/Unix, occasionally Windows).

• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity of MQ environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, performance issues, and integration failures.

• Manage MQ clustering, workload balancing, and failover configuration.

• Implement and maintain MQ security standards (SSL/TLS, RACF/Active Directory integration).

• Automate routine administrative tasks (Shell, PowerShell, Python – nice to have).

• Participate in change management and deployment processes.

• Maintain MQ disaster recovery and backup procedures.

• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support new projects and existing systems.

• Document procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions.

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ administration.

• Practical experience with IBM MQ version 9 or higher (currently using 9.3, moving to 9.4).

• Strong knowledge of MQ internals, message flows, and troubleshooting.

• Unix/Linux background.

• Understanding of MQ security concepts and implementation.

• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

• Availability to join ASAP or within 1 month.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Scripting experience (Python, Ansible, Shell, PowerShell).

• Experience with MQ in high-availability / enterprise environments.

• Knowledge of IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or App Connect Enterprise (ACE).

• Exposure to cloud-based MQ services (e.g., AWS MQ, IBM Cloud MQ).

• Familiarity with MQ monitoring tools (e.g., Omegamon, Instana).

• IBM MQ certification.

Additional information:

• Occasional work on weekends or Friday afternoons may be required, but it is not mandatory.

• Recruitment process: one interview with the team.

• Required presence in the office 6 times per month (Kraków or Warsaw).
