Project Name: Next Generation Edge Platform

Join an innovative and long-term project to develop a next-generation edge platform. This is not a legacy project; 80% of the development will focus on building new solutions with minimal involvement in older technologies. The platform is already in progress and offers a greenfield development environment.

• Technology stack: Applications operate on Linux, primarily developed in C++ (11/14+) and Rust.
• Scope of work:
• Development of new features and functionalities.
• Architectural decision-making.
• Documentation creation.
• Comprehensive testing.

Team Structure:

• 6 developers based in Dublin and 4 developers in another team in India.
• A separate team of 2 consultants will be added.
• Each team is responsible for a specific microservice.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge solutions for the platform.
• Participate in decision-making related to architecture and development strategies.
• Create and maintain project documentation.
• Perform detailed testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with international teams to ensure seamless integration and development.
• Mentor and train other team members, particularly in Rust development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C++ (11/14+) and Rust.
• Strong Linux experience, with knowledge of application development for Linux environments.
• Capability to work independently and bring innovative ideas to the team.
• Experience with modern software development practices and microservices architecture.
• Previous experience in transitioning projects from monolithic applications to modern platforms is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
