fabryka akumulatorów We are looking for a proactive and analytical Finance Controller to join our Controlling Department at SSC Bielsko-Biała. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in controlling and a passion for continuous improvement. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for controlling and financial reporting activities, including month-end closing under US GAAP, forecasting and budgeting. You will also be responsible for Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting to provide timely financial insights to facilitate business growth. Finance Controller will also play a vital role in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and SOX. The role requires effective interaction with several internal and external stakeholders including the audit function for a timely financial statements submissions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills and is eager to grow in a dynamic, international environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare and review the company’s monthly Actual group management accounts.
  • Lead the preparation process for the company’s annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Provide the site General Manager with financial oversight of the business.
  • Work with the site General Manager and business departments to properly track and account for POC contracts.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of financial management and support for RFQs, bids and tenders, and project costs and financials.
  • Prepare high-quality financial statements in compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Ensure comprehensive audit documentation and manage the cooperation with auditors to enable timely submission of financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax computations and returns, VAT, R&D Tax and payroll on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
  • Supervise the internal control processes within the finance function.
  • Supervise and set credit limits for customers, including D&B checks and the interface with Group credit controllers & manage the process of monitoring and collecting receivables.
  • Manage a team of two direct reports, including goal settings, performance assessment and training

Our requirements

  • University Degree in Finance and Accounting
  • 4+ years of experience in Finance/Controlling
  • Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP
  • Knowledge of Percentage of Completion accounting
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting processes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel (UK)
  • BIG 4 audit background is an asset
