The primary objective of this role is to manage and automate engineering activities within PostgreSQL technology, ensuring the smooth operation of production databases.PROJECT INFORMATION:Industry: BankingLocation: Hybrid, you need to be able to attend the office (Łódź) 2/5 per week.Project language: English, Polish is also a mustRemuneration: up to approximately 170 PLN/h net + VATType of assignment: B2BProject length: Long-termMain Responsibilities:Conduct engineering and automation activities for PostgreSQL technology.Manage large-scale PostgreSQL environments including replication, clustering, and partitioning.Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issues.Implement and maintain DevOps tooling solutions.Monitor database performance using tools such as Grafana or pgAdmin.Document processes and communicate effectively with team members.

Kogo poszukujemy? Key Requirements:7+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.Hands-on operational expertise in managing production databases.Deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and extensions.Strong proficiency in SQL query optimization and debugging.Experience working with Linux environments and shell scripting.Nice to Have:Experience with DevOps tools (AAP, VRA/VRO, Terraform).PostgreSQL certifications (e.g., PostgreSQL CE).Familiarity with ITIL processes.Experience working in a scaled agile framework.
