MacGregor is a leading provider of integrated cargo and load handling solutions for the maritime industry. We are also open to considering candidates with more extensive experience for a senior-level position.

This role is part of our Equipment and Solutions Division, business line Offshore Solutions. Reporting directly to the Team Lead E&I and Hydraulic. This position is based in Gdansk, Poland.

More tasks and responsibilities

1. Design, modify, and optimize equipment from the existing product portfolio while developing efficient and sustainable solutions.
2. Provide required technical documentation for products and projects according to the project execution model.
3. Collaborate with other project stakeholders to deliver designs on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
4. Stay updated on engineering standards, regulations, and technologies.
5. Provide technical support, demonstrate a work ethic, and perform additional duties, including occasional travel, when required.

What you'll need to succeed

Knowledge and understanding of inter discipline and design impact to other disciplines are essential in this position. We are looking for a person who is proficient in system tools and who has analytical skills. As a person, you are self-driven, flexible, open minded, and strive to create and build trust with colleagues and clients. You demonstrate the ability to work in a team and you are able to motivate and inspire others.

Ideally you have

1. University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in Power Hydraulic Engineering.
2. Demonstrated experience within a global organization and the maritime industry is required.
3. Interdisciplinary understanding and engineering design principles.
4. Proficient in AutoCAD and E3 software will be considered a distinct advantage.
5. English language - both verbal and written, technical understanding.
6. Analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and in teams with attention to detail and safety.
8. Committed to continuous improvement.
