Staff Accountant 💼

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team. This role is responsible for supporting month-end close activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in various accounting functions such as fixed assets, leases, expense reports, and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹Month-End Close & General Ledger

  • Prepare and post accurate and timely general ledger (GL) journal entries in compliance with GAAP.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts each period.

  • Handle entries related to loans, prepaid expenses, accruals, cash transfers, insurance, and other period-end items.

🔹Fixed Assets

  • Maintain detailed fixed asset records and electronic invoices by period.

  • Enter assets into BNA fixed asset software and generate monthly depreciation reports.

  • Reconcile BNA reports to SAP and post monthly GL depreciation entries.

  • Conduct annual fixed asset audits and dispose of retired assets.

🔹Leases

  • Enter lease agreements into Lease Query software.

  • Run monthly reports and record related GL entries.

  • Reconcile lease data between Lease Query and SAP.

🔹Expense Reports

  • Review, code, and process employee expense reports.

  • Create related monthly journal entries.

  • Communicate with employees regarding policy compliance, due dates, and missing information.

🔹Banking

  • Assist with ACH and wire transfer processing.

  • Support monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts.

🔹Auditing

  • Assist with the year-end external audit process.

  • Perform periodic internal audits to ensure proper authorization and compliance of accounting transactions.

🔹What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on general ledger experience.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Clear, professional communication – both verbal and written.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.

  • Positive, proactive, and detail-oriented attitude.
