About the project

• A hybrid work model requires 3 days a week in the Warsaw office
• Additionally, depending on your annual assessment and the company's results:

• Join the APM backend team! You will have a chance to build and expand network of Allegro OneBoxes - the most visible Allegro's product in physical world! High performance, engineering best practices and a lot of non-trivial technology challenges guaranteed!
• We are looking for a leader who is still close to technology. In this role, you will spend around 20-50% of your time on technical work (coding, code reviews, architecture), with the remaining time focused on team development and business collaboration.

Your responsibilities

• Building a team of skilled engineers to efficiently deliver business value through technical work
• Leading the team in an agile environment
• Facilitating close cooperation with other teams
• Actively shaping the product and its development roadmap by being a partner to a Product Manager
• Developing team’s members by taking into account individual preferences and needs to achieve mastery and autonomy while fulfilling the purpose of employee and the organisation
• Creating and managing ideas in the team technology excellence area

Our requirements

• Have at least 2 years of experience leading agile teams
• Have experience in managing web applications and products, and backend systems for handling distributed device networks.
• Are seasoned experts in software development and system architecture
• Can and want to take care and responsibility for their team’s development, have excellent communication skills, and value the "servant leadership" approach
• Have the ability to manage and build relationships in a team of skilled engineers and across closely collaborating teams
• Can listen, motivate and provide constructive feedback as well as select adequate development activities for their team
• Can present the necessary technical work in the context of business risks
• Can work closely with the business (can reconcile technical and business issues) and care about business results
• Enjoy constant developing, updating and sharing their knowledge
• Know English language on at least B2 level (experience in managing English-speaking team members is a plus)
