Your responsibilities

• Provide business-oriented legal advice across a wide range of topics, including financial regulation (PSD2, MiFID II, AMLD), digital banking, insurance distribution, and payment services
• Draft, negotiate and review a broad range of commercial and technology agreements (SaaS, partnership, licensing, data processing, outsourcing)
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments impacting FinTech / InsurTech services, and support regulatory filings, approvals, and license applications
• Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, enabling product development and go-to-market strategies in a legally compliant manner
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, external counsel, and cross-border internal legal teams
• Manage legal risk in fast-paced environments, supporting M&A, fundraising, and expansion into new markets.

Employer requirements

• Law degree from a recognised university in Poland, EU, UK, or US
• Fully qualified lawyer in a relevant jurisdiction
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years post-qualification (2 PQE), ideally in a regulatory, transactional or product counsel role
• Experience gained in an international law firm or a technology-driven company (FinTech, InsurTech, digital platforms) experience in both environments will be a strong asset
• Solid knowledge of financial sector regulations, including at least several of the following:
• PSD2, MiCA, DORA, AMLD, IDD, Solvency II, E-Money/Payment Licenses, GDPR, outsourcing frameworks
• Regulatory regimes of the FCA, KNF, BaFin, or Dutch AFM will be considered a plus
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills in English, especially in a digital services or B2B environment
• Fluent spoken and written English (native or near-native level); Polish or another EU language is an advantage
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in cross-functional, international teams with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Interest in emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI, digital identity, regtech tools will be highly valued.
