Your responsibilities

• Area of responsibility:
• The role is based in the platform team called Core Foundation which is a part of the Data, Analytics & AI department at Danish Crown and it is responsible for securing a high-quality data foundation that the business and IT can utilize in collaboration to secure reporting and data driven decisions across the company. The team is responsible for maintaining and improving both of our data platforms – SAP BW and Azure Synapse Analytics so there are different technologies we serve what makes great opportunity to upgrade one’s skillset. We continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes, tools, and technologies to enhance the overall data infrastructure.
• In relation to the SAP BW platform, we are currently on 7.5 SP. 31 on Hana, and on a journey towards SAP Business Data Cloud. The Data, Analytics & AI domain has a front end team and back end team, where you will be working closely together in creating optimal, robust and user-friendly solutions. The department also covers areas of Data Management, Data Science and Gen AI, so there is strong relationship to the governance of data but also quite extensive agenda for utilization of AI in reporting.
• We are currently looking for experienced candidate to support our daily operations, improvement tasks and strategic implementation of new technologies and services on SAP BW platform and Datasphere roadmap.
• As a SAP BW engineer you will be part of an international team, with great colleagues in Randers, Denmark and Krakow, Poland.
• Specific tasks:
• • In close collaboration with IT and Business Users build efficient and global SAP BW backend solutions following Danish Crowns architectural guidelines to assist the business in their daily work.
• • Be responsible for developing the entire ETL flow and coordination with the business and other IT departments including data enrichment through e.g. ABAP coding or HANA views.
• • Support in SAP BW Architecture design and planning session, projects and actions
• • Assists operations with backend support
• • You will normally be responsible for 1-2 larger projects and have some smaller change request.
• • Close collaboration with our frontend developers, Data scientist, architects, project managers etc.
• Danish Crown has an ambition about becoming data driven running all initiatives according to Agile methodologies and you will be a part of this journey to transform our organization.

Our requirements

• Min. 5 years of relevant hands-on experience delivering SAP-BW/HANA backend solutions from a business-facing role.
• Experience in designing and implementing architecture setups in relation to SAP BW area is big advantage
• Experience in implementing and working with SAP Datasphere is great asset
• Experience working with ABAP code or other coding languages like SQL
• Experience in working with the entire ETL flow from SAP to SAP BW
• SAP BW4HANA knowledge is an advantage
• IP knowledge is an advantage
• Familiarity and experience working with other cloud data platforms (MS Azure) is considered as great advantage!
• BPC knowledge is an advantage (we have both a stand-alone and embedded)
• Query designing, BO (SAC, WEBI, Lumira, Analysis for Office) & PowerBI knowledge is an advantage
