• About the Role
• We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a greenfield programme for a major financial institution launching operations in the Polish market. The project includes 13 work streams (backend, frontend, UX) and follows agile methodologies (SCRUM). If you're passionate about building scalable systems and want to work in a modern stack —this is your opportunity.
• ⚠️ Please note: We are only considering candidates who are available to start immediately (from 18/08/2025).
• Due to the urgent nature of this assignment, we unfortunately cannot accommodate any time off until October. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring uninterrupted project delivery.

Your responsibilities

• Develop robust and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and optimize database queries in PostgreSQL/MySQL
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile (SCRUM) environment
• Support the integration of BPMN workflows where required
• Collaborate with a distributed team using English and Polish

Our requirements

• Fluent Polish and English
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Java programming experience.
• Frameworks & Tools: Strong hands-on experience with Hibernate, Spring, Spring Boot, REST API, Microservices, and Web Services.
• Build & Dependency Management: Practical knowledge of Maven.
• Messaging Systems: Good knowledge of message queues such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Cloud Platforms: Understanding of cloud solutions (Google Cloud Platform preferred; Azure and AWS also relevant).
• Databases: Good knowledge of SQL.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Understanding of tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm — willingness to learn and grow in these technologies if not already experienced.
• Concurrency & Systems: Experience with multithreaded programming and distributed systems.
• Monitoring: Experience in application monitoring, including familiarity with tools like ELK.
• Mindset & Collaboration:
• Curiosity to expand beyond your primary area of expertise.
• Openness to learning new technologies and approaches from peers.
• Strong collaborative spirit.
• BPM Expertise:
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing BPMN 2.0 workflows using Flowable, Camunda, Activiti, jBPM, or similar.
• Experience integrating BPM systems with other applications.

Optional

• Experience with BPMN modeling – familiarity with Flowable is a big plus
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
