• We are looking for a passionate Senior Kong Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team, predominantly working from our Wrocław office 3-4 days a week. In this role, you will empower API self-service management, governance, and observability across hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure). You will leverage your strong Kong Konnect expertise, Kubernetes knowledge, and automation skills to help scale a high-impact API platform. Your responsibilities

• Enable and enhance self-service API management and governance capabilities across the organization using Kong Gateway and Kong Konnect
• Design and implement observability solutions to provide clear visibility into API usage and performance
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters supporting API services and ingress through Kong
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to build secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code workflows
• Implement and maintain identity and security protocols, such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT, ensuring robust API protection

Our requirements

• Minimum 3 years of proven hands-on experience with Kong or any other Service mesh
• Advanced understanding of API management, RESTful microservices architecture, and deep experience with Kubernetes cluster orchestration and API ingress control
• Expertise in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) alongside mature CI/CD and GitOps automation workflows
• Thorough knowledge of identity and security protocols such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT
• Fluent English communication (minimum B2 level) enabling effective leadership, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within international teams
• Fluent Polish required
• Residing in Poland required
