Your responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development
  • • Lead, coach, and develop a team of development engineers and technical experts to ensure high performance, motivation, and engagement.
  • • Set individual goals, conduct performance reviews, and guide professional growth through mentoring and development planning.
  • • Identify competency gaps and define training needs to support current and future business challenges.
  • • Support onboarding and integration of new team members, fostering a strong team identity and consistent ways of working.
  • • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
  • Resource & Project Management
  • • Allocate resources effectively to meet project and platform/module needs while balancing priorities and workloads.
  • • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration across projects, promoting alignment, communication, and timely issue resolution.
  • • Serve as the R&D interface in projects, acting as Project Leader or Technical Leader depending on size and scope.
  • • Consolidate and align project budgets (including FCx data), ensuring consistency across the project portfolio.
  • Technical Leadership & Strategy
  • • Lead Technical Opportunity Assessments (TOA) for generation plan projects, cross-category initiatives, and platform-impacting projects.
  • • Provide technical leadership for cost and quality improvement initiatives, driving cross-functional communication and alignment.
  • • Act as a technical reference across projects, ensuring alignment with platform and module strategies.
  • • Support advanced development projects through the ACP1 phase, ensuring technical viability and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Continuous Improvement & Reporting
  • • Champion the use of common tools, methods, and digital solutions for budgeting, forecasting (FCx), and technical development.
  • • Prepare and present quarterly reports for BU and FCx, highlighting key deviations and driving cross-departmental alignment.

Our requirements

  • Who you are:
  • • 10+ years of proven leadership in R&D or product development, including cross-functional project delivery.
  • • Direct experience managing engineering/development teams; CARE product experience is a strong plus.
  • • MSc or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
  • • Solid background in product development, technology introduction, and end-to-end technical delivery.
  • • Skilled in gated product development and project/program management methodologies.
  • • Experience leading within matrix organizations across regions and functions.
  • • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; effective at all levels and geographies.
  • • Proven track record in mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.
  • • Strong consumer focus with ability to translate insights into technical innovations.
  • • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • • Awareness of emerging trends in simulation, automation, digitalization, and AI in engineering.
