Your responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Functional Safety (FuSa) activities in accordance with ISO26262 or IRIS across the entire product development lifecycle, from concept through SOP.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (ISO 26262, ASIL A–D, IRIS), internal quality systems, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and conduct safety analyses such as HARA, FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA to identify hazards, assess risks, and define safety mechanisms.
• Develop, maintain, and track safety work products including safety plans, safety concepts (functional and technical), safety requirements, and safety cases.
• Plan and execute functional safety audits, reviews, and assessments—both internally and with suppliers—ensuring transparency and traceability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, hardware, and software teams to integrate safety requirements into product design and validation processes.
• Act as the primary interface for safety-related topics, both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, and certification bodies).
• Promote a safety-first culture, supporting knowledge sharing and coaching team members on functional safety principles and practices.

Our requirements

• 3+ years of experience in functional safety within the automotive or raiilway industry, ideally involving powertrain/drivetrain systems (e.g. e-axles, electric drives, hybrid systems, gearboxes).
• Expertise in ISO 26262 or IRIS with practical experience.
• Solid knowledge of HARA, ASIL decomposition, FMEA/FMEDA, FTA, and safety validation/verification methods.
• Proven track record in creating and managing safety plans, technical safety concepts, and safety cases.
• Degree in Engineering – preferably in electrical, electronics, automotive, mechatronics, or systems engineering.
