Your responsibilities

• In our Product Development team, we don’t just talk about digitalization – we make it happen. At bonprix, fashion you can touch is already available virtually. To support this, we need you – an expert in pattern construction – to help build and strengthen the foundation of our product development and the quality of our products.
• Your task:
• You will be responsible for developing and expanding a market-oriented library of standard patterns for a defined product group, ensuring consistent and customer-focused fit. Additionally, you will create and manage standard patterns including grading in 2D, and support our product group specialists in updating and developing silhouettes and measurement concepts, including fittings of the developed size sets.
• Your contribution:
• You will develop standard patterns based on our specifications using a 2D system and assess the fit of the base size and size set either digitally using our 3D software or on a physical sample.

Our requirements

• What you bring along
• Where bonprix is, is in front. For that, we need people like you who are simply more advanced in their thinking. Who think agilely and turn a "can't do" into a "can do". Ideally, you also bring the following with you:
• Your education:
• You have a degree in apparel technology with a focus on pattern making/CAD/product development or a comparable qualification as a pattern maker or garment technician.
• Your experience:
• You bring at least 3 years of professional experience in all key processes of apparel and pattern development.
• Your skills:
• You have strong expertise in initial pattern creation, development, modification, and grading using CAD software (e.g., Assyst). You have a minimum B2-level English proficiency. Knowledge of German language would be an asset.
• Your softskills:
• You have a good sense of fashion trends and how to translate them commercially to create market-ready products effectively and efficiently – all while providing valuable input for the development of our fit standards. You also enjoy shaping change as part of a team and sharing knowledge with those around you.

What we offer

• 2-years limited contract
• Your environment:
• As part of our Technical Product Development & Digital Innovation department, you will work closely with our international offices and internal departments (e.g., product management, project team).
• Your liberties:
• As the pattern construction expert for a specific product group, you will introduce new working methods based on your expertise. Your input will make a significant contribution to the consistency of fit, product quality, and team skill development.
