Your responsibilities

• Administration of the invoice approval system and involvement with system enhancements as required
• Management and continuing improvement of the invoice approval process:
• Invoice collection: Coordinate invoices collection and allocation to the relevant entities
• Data entry: ensure that all invoices are captured in the system via manual process or automated data capture system
• Invoices coding: allocation of expenses to accounts and cost centres by analysing invoices
• Invoices Approval: Coordinate approval process within the approval system
• Extraction of Payment files
• Extraction of Accounting journals
• Reconciliation of payments with approved invoices
• Stewardship of supplier direct debit arrangements
• Maintain Supplier database and records
• Verify supplier accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Maintain historical invoices records (digital)
• Assist with audit support as necessary
• Support the business for launching new hostels
• Work with the rest of the Finance Team to resolve account issues when necessary
• Liaise with suppliers and outsourced accountants
• Train general managers in supplier processes
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports

Our requirements

• VAT Experience
• Proven working experience in Accounts Payable
• Experience using Continia and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Experience reconciling supplier accounts
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong data entry and numeracy skills
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration desirable, but candidates qualified by experience will be considered
• Well organised, able to multitask and a team player
