Your responsibilities

• Ensure the performance, reliability, and automation of Oracle database environments
• Design, write, and maintain shell scripts to support automation efforts
• Leverage Ansible to automate administrative tasks and system configurations
• Handle YUM repository management and create custom RPM packages as needed
• Perform Linux system administration and troubleshoot issues related to Oracle databases
• Work with APIs to enhance and simplify database operations
• Conduct patching, upgrades, and resolve database incidents and errors
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance with security policies and standards

Employer requirements

• Solid, hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, including knowledge of various deployment models such as RAC, Data Guard, and VCS
• Strong proficiency in shell scripting, Ansible, and Linux system administration
• Experience with YUM repositories and RPM package creation
• Familiarity with APIs; experience with SQL Server is an asset
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively within technical teams
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles and tools
