Your responsibilities

• Innovative Financial Tools: Help build tools that support our financial teams in managing money efficiently and maintaining strong financial partnerships. Your work will help ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.
• Cash and Liquidity Management: Develop systems that help us manage cash flow, meet financial obligations, and ensure we have enough funds available for unexpected needs. These tools are crucial for keeping our financial operations stable and secure.
• Modern Technology Stack: Use the latest technologies, such as cloud-based containers, Python programming, Kafka for real-time data processing, and automated CI/CD pipelines. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge tools and methodologies.

Our requirements

• 5+ years of work experience as a backend Developer with a focus on Python.
• Bachelor’s in computer science or closely related field.
• Experience architecting and building backend applications beginning from the design phase through implementation.
• Experience with code optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of MSSQL. Specifically query building, table design and performance tuning.
• Understanding of the full scope of application development (authentication, integrating with APIs, build process, testing, validation, state management).
• Experience with source code control (Git experience preferred).
• Eager to learn and take initiative.
• Analytical skills – Ability to troubleshoot and logically assess problems and determine solutions.
• Documentation skills – ability to represent ideas, requirements and problems in a clear and concise manner

Optional

• Experience building Restful APIs.
• Experience creating Front End applications (JavaScript, React framework).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational database technologies.
• Experience with Equity Financing based systems a big plus.
• Experience working with financial market data from Bloomberg, Reuters or other similar sources.
• Experience with hedge fund industry or other financial instruments/software (research, risk management, portfolio accounting, reconciliation, order management, etc.).
