About the project

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to design and implement scalable, secure data architecture solutions on Azure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust data models, optimize storage and retrieval, and ensure compliance with IaaS/iPaaS/SaaS and cloud security standards.

Your responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architecture on Azure
• Collaborate with business, engineering, and data science teams to gather requirements and design scalable models
• Develop ingestion strategies for integrating data from diverse sources
• Define efficient data storage and retrieval methods (e.g., partitioning, indexing, compression)
• Implement data governance to ensure quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Enforce data security measures: encryption, access control, and masking
• Conduct data profiling and troubleshooting
• Stay current on cloud data advancements and recommend improvements
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices

Our requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Proven experience with Azure data services: SQL Database, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, Cosmos DB
• Strong data modeling skills (relational, dimensional, NoSQL)
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, integration patterns, and data warehousing
• Experience with Spark/Hadoop, SQL, Python or Scala
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
• Azure and Databricks certifications (e.g., Lakehouse Fundamentals, Data Engineer Professional)
• Experience in banking, financial crimes, compliance, or case management
• Understanding of ML/AI integration and data visualization tools
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD for data platforms
• Bachelor's/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Fluent English skills
• Residing in Poland required
