Your responsibilities

  • Advising clients on the full lifecycle of nuclear energy projects in Poland – from regulatory structuring and permitting to contracting, construction and operation
  • Analysing and applying Polish and EU nuclear legislation, including:
  • – Atomic Law
  • – Environmental and construction law (EIA, spatial planning, building permits)
  • – EU directives and IAEA standards
  • Drafting and negotiating complex project documentation (EPC contracts, JV agreements, technology transfers, PPAs, consortium frameworks)
  • Supporting licensing processes before PAA (Polish Nuclear Authority) and cooperation with Polish and EU regulatory bodies
  • Advising on state aid, public procurement, international cooperation and investment protection frameworks
  • Collaborating with global legal teams and industry experts in cross-border advisory mandates
  • Contributing to thought leadership and business development in the nuclear energy space.

Employer requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, ideally in energy/infrastructure projects, public law or construction
  • Previous work with international law firms, government agencies or energy sector clients will be highly valued
  • Strong understanding of Polish regulatory and institutional frameworks related to nuclear, environmental and infrastructure law
  • Proven ability to analyse and communicate complex legal, technical and regulatory issues to business and government stakeholders
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills in both Polish and English (working language with clients and foreign counsel)
  • Candidates with nuclear energy or conventional power experience, including work on permitting, licensing or contracting processes, will be prioritised
  • International academic background (LL.M, secondments, etc.) and/or IAEA knowledge is an asset.
