About the project

  • We are seeking a talented Engine Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of game engines and low-level systems programming. This role involves optimizing, extending, and maintaining the core game engine to ensure high performance and scalability across platforms. You will collaborate closely with other developers and technical teams to create cutting-edge tools and technologies.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain core engine features and systems.
  • Optimize rendering, physics, and other subsystems to ensure high performance across various platforms.
  • Implement new engine functionalities, tools, and pipelines to support game development teams.
  • Work closely with gameplay programmers, graphics engineers, and other specialists to integrate new features and tools.
  • Debug and resolve complex issues related to engine performance and stability.
  • Ensure compatibility with multiple hardware configurations, including consoles, PCs, and mobile devices.
  • Collaborate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for engine systems and tools.

Our requirements

  • Proficiency in C++, with a strong understanding of low-level programming and memory management.
  • Experience developing or extending game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity (C++), CryEngine, or proprietary engines.
  • Deep understanding of rendering pipelines, physics engines, and other core engine components.
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading and parallel programming.
  • Familiarity with GPU programming and shader languages such as HLSL, GLSL, or Metal Shaders.
  • Experience with debugging and profiling tools to optimize performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Optional

  • Experience with cross-platform development for consoles, PC, and mobile.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Lua for tool development.
  • Familiarity with Vulkan, DirectX, or Metal APIs.
  • Understanding of networking systems for multiplayer games.
  • Experience with machine learning or procedural generation in games.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
