Your responsibilities

  • managing the purchase and supply of all procured goods and services,
  • managing supplier relationships including quality and supply issues, improving supplier performance and building successful supply chain partnerships,
  • requesting and evaluating quotes based on technical specifications,
  • sourcing, negotiating and buying of goods, materials and services to meet the company’s operational requirements,
  • performing administrative processing and aftercare,
  • resolving discrepancies and issues in invoices and purchase orders,
  • negotiating contracts, improving prices and terms of business with suppliers,
  • actively expediting and monitoring timely and correct deliveries,
  • acting as an interface between suppliers, engineers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities, including composing and dealing with standard correspondence, whether or not via short instructions,
  • keeping needed data up to date,
  • checking invoices,
  • monitoring activities regarding debtors and creditor management.

Employer requirements

  • minimum 3 years - experience of working in a supply chain team preferably within maritime environment,
  • fluent English language knowledge, verbal and in writing,
  • basic knowledge of IFS / SAP software,
  • higher level education,
  • experience in discussing finances, budgets and costs,
  • negotiation skills and ability to work with suppliers, make better deals for the company,
  • strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers,
  • detail-oriented and solid planning and prioritizing skills,
  • excellent decision-making skills.
