About the project

  • We are seeking an experienced Audio Developer to join our game development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing, optimizing, and managing audio systems for interactive media. This role involves creating immersive soundscapes, integrating audio assets, and ensuring high-quality audio performance across different platforms.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and implement audio systems and tools to support dynamic and immersive soundscapes.
  • Integrate sound effects, music, and voiceovers into the game using industry-standard audio middleware.
  • Collaborate with sound designers and composers to ensure seamless audio implementation.
  • Develop and optimize audio pipelines for real-time performance on multiple platforms.
  • Implement spatial audio systems, including 3D audio and ambisonics for realistic sound positioning.
  • Work closely with gameplay programmers to synchronize audio with game mechanics and events.
  • Debug and resolve audio-related issues, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation for audio systems and tools.

Our requirements

  • Proficiency in C++ and/or C#, with experience in audio programming.
  • Experience with audio middleware such as FMOD or Wwise.
  • Knowledge of real-time audio systems, including spatial audio and dynamic sound design.
  • Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine for audio integration.
  • Understanding of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) techniques and audio optimization.
  • Experience with cross-platform audio development for PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex audio issues.

Optional

  • Experience with procedural audio generation and synthesis.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Lua for tool development.
  • Knowledge of audio file formats, compression techniques, and streaming audio.
  • Experience with machine learning in audio processing or sound classification.
  • Exposure to AR/VR audio systems, including head-related transfer function (HRTF) modeling.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
