About the project

• We are looking for a Software Delivery Manager to lead one of our core technical teams, focused on delivering high-performance backend and data solutions. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with a proven track record in scalable systems, engineering team management, and delivering complex software products in high-demand environments.
• Hybrid Work- 3 days in the office (Warsaw - center)
• Umowa o Prace & AKUP do 75%
• Technical Stack:
• Transactional Systems: Java, Kafka, Microservices, APIs, Postgres
• Big Data Platforms: Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Databricks, ETL tools

Your responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 10+ engineers (backend and data), ensuring high standards of delivery and technical excellence.
• Guide architectural decisions and ensure best practices in backend and big data development.
• Oversee software delivery in a distributed system environment.
• Drive technical strategy and roadmap in close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of systems.
• Manage delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple teams.
• Foster a collaborative, agile, and feedback-driven engineering culture.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and support for individual growth.

Our requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years as a backend or data engineer.
• 5+ years leading development teams of 10+ people.
• Proven experience in transactional systems or big data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, application performance tuning, and production support in distributed systems.
• Solid planning and decision-making abilities, balancing tech and business needs.
• Clear and confident communicator who can engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Experienced in Agile environments.
• Fluent in English.
