Your responsibilities

  • Managing the BOM check system as the main contact point/super user
  • Contacting suppliers and managing communication with them on Hiab hazardous substances requirements (ROHS, REACH, POP, TSCA, Prop.65, PFAS etc), inviting them to BOMcheck, following them up to register in BOMcheck and declare there all codes they sell to Hiab, provide training as needed, exceptionally review manual declarations shared by suppliers
  • Maintain data up-to-date (REACH legislation updated 2x/year), report program status and escalate towards categories sourcing if needed
  • If REACH substances are declared in the system, connect this to the product declaration and complete SCiP reporting of Hiab products, maintain product information up-to-date
  • Join BOMcheck steering committee calls and follow up hazardous substances requirements, in order to safeguard Hiab product compliance to all applicable regulations and customer requests
  • Contacting suppliers and managing communication with them on responsible minerals reporting (CMRT, EMRT)
  • Following up on suppliers to get appropriate reporting vs minerals (conformant/active smelters, according to RMI list) and in case any improvement needed
  • Provide training to suppliers and guide them on responsible/conflict minerals related topics
  • Report progress vs suppliers with compliant CMRT/EMRTs and escalate towards categories sourcing if needed
  • Prepare Hiab CMRT and EMRT based on suppliers validated information
  • Define hazardous substances/responsible minerals program scope according to the annual risk assessment and up-to-date BOM, suppliers and products information
  • Maintain process descriptions up-to-date and safeguard continuous improvement
  • Manage trainings internal/external on both compliance program
  • Support any other supply chain compliance topics as needed

Our requirements

  • University degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in a shared service / industry environment
  • Experience with suppliers communication
  • Experience with managing software systems as a super user or any system experience
  • Experience in positions within supplier sustainability, compliance, risk management, preferably within industrial manufacturing
  • Experience with chemicals/substances and regulations (ROHS, REACH, POP, TSCA, Prop.65, PFAS etc) and responsible minerals including standard reporting tools (CMRT, EMRT etc) would be an advantage
  • Admin experience
  • Good Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Self-management and time management skills
  • Superior communication skills – Oral and written, formal presentation skills towards stakeholders and senior management
  • Fluent English
