Your responsibilities

• Define and lead research on multimodal, reasoning-capable large language models
• Build, mentor, and grow a team of AI researchers and applied scientists
• Oversee model pre-training, fine-tuning, data generation, retrieval-augmented generation, chain-of-thought reasoning, and agentic workflows
• Drive projects from early research to applied solutions and productization
• Stay up to date with AI/ML advances, multimodal learning, and LLM development
• Collaborate with international AI teams and research partners

Employer requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in AI/ML research
• Proven experience as a technical lead or team manager in AI projects
• Strong knowledge of deep learning and large model architectures (Transformers, CLIP, SAM)
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (preferably PyTorch)
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent R&D experience)
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, ownership and responsibility mindset

Optional

• Willingness to take short-term assignments at HQ in Shenzhen
• Experience in building and mentoring AI research teams
• PhD in a relevant technical field
• Track record of publications in top AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, ACL)
• Recognized achievements in AI competitions or algorithmic challenges
• Willingness to take short-term assignments at HQ in Shenzhen
