Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the HR strategy for the country unit
  • Anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensures integration with wider group HR strategy
  • Develop a policy framework for the country/business unit, and oversee its implementation
  • Supports the development and growth of the business and make sure it is ready for an increase in number of employees
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the Group's HR strategy, policies and instruments
  • Leads the development of Human Resources frameworks and tools for the country/business unit HR
  • Social legal relations - responsible for developing the long term approach
  • Talent pipeline management/ succession planning/career paths and most optimal execution of training & learning in the country/business unit
  • Dotted line to the country payroll services
  • Management of HR KPI
  • Initiates, plans, implements and coordinates HR related activities and projects for the country/business unit and ensures proper introduction and implementation of changes in the organization
  • Ensures that the HR department supports the business with all HR related queries, and acts as a first point of contact for senior management on HR policy issues and strategic and tactical questions, informs them on new developments and identifies trend
  • Manages the team of local HR experts and team leads (e.g. recruitment and employer branding, social relations, health and safety)
  • Creates a work environment in which employees are continuously stimulated to develop themselves and to improve their performance
  • Responsible for an optimal staffing, recruitment activities and employees retention within the department

Employer requirements

  • Master degree in a relevant field
  • At least 6-10 years of working experience of which at least 5 in a management role
  • Proven project management skills
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal/written)
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR instruments
  • Extensive knowledge of current trends and practices within HR, locally and internationally
  • Pro-active, customer focused, analytical skills and result driven
  • Leadership, seniority and (professional) independence, with a clear and unconditional service orientation towards the business
  • Negotiation skills, influencing, syndicating, consensus building, determination, patience
  • Very organised, is able to structure activities and projects, sticks to agreements within deadlines and according to guidelines
  • Works efficiently and effectively, also when under time pressure
  • Works effectively with others to achieve common targets
