Offer description

The product owner is responsible for the ownership and managing of the backlog for their assigned value stream(s), contributes to the product roadmap, understands customer and market needs for the CommandCentral Evidence product. The product owner works in partnership with the product manager and relies on their technical knowledge and background to define user stories and acceptance criteria, engage with assigned engineering teams, and groom the backlog. The ability to deeply understand technical architecture, define engineering behind features, and to translate high level customer functional requirements into technical for development is a crucial skill. In addition, the ability to describe the impact of technical requirements to customers, non-technical sales, and support resources is a must.

This position will be responsible for filling the agile product owner role for the CommandCentral Evidence product. In this role, the product owner champions the need of the user, customer, and other stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure that what is delivered meets the goals, objectives, and desired outcomes of the project. To be successful, one must manage multiple projects simultaneously, at various stages of their development, from idea to completed feature.

The product owner reports to the product lead.

Your responsibilities

1. Develop strong relationships with UI/UX teams and work in close partnership with research and design colleagues
2. Actively involved in initiative and epic refinement as an integral member of the Product Management team
3. Responsible for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog, including user stories, defects, and research spikes
4. Review and prioritize the backlog as part of the preparatory work for release and sprint planning, including coordination of dependencies with other POs
5. Contribute to the roadmap
6. Involved in release planning, reviewing vision, and content presentations to assigned engineering team(s)
