Your career opportunity
The role holder will be responsible for pro-active Regulatory Compliance (RC) support and challenge on all relevant aspects of Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) to ensure that the business is conducted in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and codes of practice. The primary responsibilities of the incumbent cover the management of RC risks across GB & CMB lines of business in the UAE, and the MENAT Region, alongside providing extended support to Product Lines (e.g. Global Payment Solutions (GPS), and Global Trade Solutions (GTS)). The role holder will be responsible for the provision of advice to Business Lines and Assurance teams on RC matters, and assist and train GB/CMB on relevant regulations and compliance policies. The role requires strong partnership with the business, a solid understanding of GB/CMB and relevant products (GPS/GTS) and has the responsibility for driving the implementation of policies and regulations, ensuring that a conduct and compliance-led culture is embedded. The individual must remain up-to-date on changes in the regulatory environment, industry developments and market events in relation to the businesses. The role holder shall also provide direct support to the relevant GB, CMB, and GPS/GTS RC Lead/s, alongside the Regional Head of GB/CMB RC, MENAT, as required.
