Requirements description

• Significant experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and routine automations.

• Proven experience with configuration management tools, preferably Ansible.

• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Experience implementing and managing load balancing and auto-failover solutions for database systems.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Your responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL or MySQL database systems (cloud and on-premises)
2. Perform database performance monitoring, alerting, and optimization.
3. Implement and manage database backups, restores, and recovery strategies.
4. Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, and regular audits.
5. Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
6. Plan and execute complicated database upgrades and migrations.
